Tuesday was our early day as we had two games. Our first and hardest game was against a California team. The game started out with a score for them in the first couple minutes stunning the defense and the rest of the team. They were fast and strong and very big. Not many boys on the team had seen or played against this caliber of a team before. Our boys became tougher and stronger and began playing with them. They answered back for every score and ended the half with a score of 4-4. I wished that I had recorded that game. In one instance, I'll call it a "scuffle" began in the middle of the field and within 1 minute, there were shoves, fists, hands, and hugs thrown. Very tense game indeed. The guys on both teams were friends for the rest of the tournament and I think some of them even exchanged numbers.
During the break we decided to visit Chapel Hills Mall.

We gave the mall a good boost when the boys went to the food court. The boys found soft, comfy spots to rest and get ready for the 2nd game.

We found Sean and Henry in the kiddie area taking a rest. Nate was lounging in Borders reading a book. We bought ice packs for sore and aching muscles.

Here is Sam in front of "his" store.
Christopher found a sweet lady to give him a massage and was hoping that any other Coloradoan would offer their support as well but he couldn't seem to find any takers.

After we got some ice we had all the boys meet us in Borders to rest in the cafe area until we needed to leave for the next game. Danny is icing his calf and resting.

Two minutes into the 2nd game the Air Force sounded the weather alarm. It started raining and lightening during the warm up and slowed down. One blow means go and wait in your car until 2 short blows are sounded. Our break wasn't very long and we were able to return to the game. Luckily we had gotten the harder of the two games out of the way in the morning. The team from New York only was able to gather just enough people to fill a team to come and play. Hence they subbed themselves out when they got tired and played sometimes with only 9-10 players on the field. During the 2nd half we also played down a couple men. The score ended up to be 15-0 us, with lots of passing and Mike and Brian moved players around to be a little bit more fair.
After we returned home we had a great dinner and Julia introduced us how to play Werewolf, a rendition of Mafia. Almost all the boys participated and those that didn't were downstairs playing Nintendo. We all had a great evening! Thanks Julia and Jenna!
