Our beginning trip started at 9 a.m. Sunday morning. We all piled in our spots. Mike drove most of the noisy boys in the big white van. Joe, Uli, Renzo, Sam, Nate, Danny, Chris, Jake, Javi, Henry and Brad. George's dad drove as well with Sean, Danny, Coach Smith took Mrs. Mike, Jens and Wendi. It took around 7-8 hours to drive there. While Mike and Brent went the direction of the Meibos' home and dropped the majority of the boys off, Brian and his gang drove to check in the boys at the registration place of Dick's Sporting Goods 45 minutes in the opposite direction. Brent and George went and checked into a hotel that was closer to the tournament. Check in went smooth and they were on their way back to enjoy lasagna, salad and garlic bread, oh yeah and vegetables that were hardly touched. We met the Meibos family which included: Julia, Jenna, Jaylee, Kerst, and Kendall and of course John and Corin. We loved being with them. The boys enjoyed swimming at the community swimming pool, playing fusbal, air hockey or playing Nintendo. At the end of the day we celebrated Nate's birthday with a cake. I'll try to post the lovely video of the singing/eating of the cake.
